General refund rule
Sales are generally final once access to the digital product has been delivered. We do not offer a voluntary change-of-mind refund window after access to the PDF has been delivered. This is not an absolute no-refunds policy: the exceptions below, Polar’s independent authority, card-network processes, and any mandatory consumer rights still apply.
When a refund or other remedy may be available
We review requests involving:
- a duplicate order or charge, an unauthorized transaction, or an incorrect charge amount;
- a confirmed purchase was not delivered and access could not be restored;
- the delivered PDF is corrupted or cannot be opened and a working replacement cannot be provided; or
- the delivered product is materially different from the product described on the sales page at the time of purchase and the problem cannot be remedied.
Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate response may be restored access, a replacement file, correction of a billing error, a full or partial refund, or another remedy required by law. A request is not automatically approved, and fraudulent or abusive claims may be declined.
Delivery problems
First check the email address used at checkout, including spam or promotions folders, and the Polar Customer Portal. If a paid order is confirmed but access is missing, contact support so the delivery link or file can be checked before requesting a refund.
How to request help or a refund
Email hello@electricianfieldguide.com from the address used for the order. Include the Polar order reference, the purchase date, and a short explanation of the problem. We aim to acknowledge requests within three business days. For a payment or charge issue, you may also contact Polar at support@polar.sh.
Polar and card-network decisions
Polar is the merchant of record. Polar may independently issue or decline a refund, including issuing one on its own initiative, under its buyer terms, fraud-prevention obligations, payment-processor requirements, card-network rules, or applicable law. A card issuer or card network may separately resolve a billing dispute or chargeback under its own rules. This policy does not restrict those independent decisions or any chargeback right provided by the buyer’s card issuer.
How approved refunds are processed
Refunds approved by the supplier or Polar are processed through Polar and returned to the original payment method. Bank or card-network processing times may vary. A full refund may revoke future access to the personal download benefit.
Mandatory consumer rights
This policy does not limit any refund, cancellation, chargeback, warranty, or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived. Where mandatory law provides greater protection, that law controls.
